Winter Park Ski Train and Our HistoryTrains have played an enormous role in the establishment of Grand County's communities, starting with railroads that carried in tourists and supplies and carried out lumber and produce to Denver, Chicago and the East Coast.
Hop aboard Winter Park’s Ski Train which now runs both winter and summer months. In addition to the scenic wonders of the Flatirons and South Boulder Canyon, you will encounter rugged alpine wilderness and vistas unavailable to the eyes of the public using conventional transportation. Pass through dozens of tunnels including the historic Moffat Tunnel under the Continental Divide.
Jump on Amtrak’s California Zephyr and ride the rails along America’s earliest transcontinental rail route following the trails of pioneers, gold prospectors and the Pony Express.
