Only 67 miles from Denver, Grand County offers some of the easiest access to Rocky Mountain adventure in Colorado. The hardiest visitors hike in through the breathtaking splendor of Rocky Mountain National Park or the Indian Peaks Wilderness while less adventurous visitors have their choice of arriving by train, plane or automobile. No matter which route you choose, it’s sure to be a spectacular entrance!

By Automobile
• From Denver by way of eastern Grand County - U.S. Highway 40 from I-70 W, cross the continental divide over Berthoud Pass to enter through Winter Park and Fraser Valley.
• From Denver by way of western Grand County – I-70 W to Silverthorne, go 38 miles north on Highway 9 to enter through Kremmling.
• From Western Colorado – I-70 E to Wolcott, north on 131 to State Bridge, turn right. Take Trough Road 25 miles to Kremmling.
• Scenic Route – In summer, drivers can experience Colorado through the breathtaking beauty of Trail Ridge Road, which passes high above timberline through the heart of Rocky Mountain National Park and down into Grand Lake. To reach this scenic byway, simply take Hwy 34 west from Estes Park.
• From the North by way of central Grand County – Hwy 125 from Walden south to Hwy 40 to enter just west of Granby.
